Aurora University senior Corey Vondra was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Baseball Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of March 28-April 3, 2022, as selected by the league's athletics communications professionals.
Vondra, an outfielder, went 6-for-10 with a home run, a double, and five runs scored while driving in six as AU split a pair of games at St. Norbert Sunday to open NACC play. He went 3-for-5 in both halves of the doubleheader, driving in five of his six runs.
On the season, Vondra is hitting .441 with five doubles, one triple, one home run while scoring 26 runs and driving in 16. He has a .488 on-base percentage, a .569 slugging percentage and 1.057 OPS.
Next action for the Spartan baseball team comes on Friday, April 8 when they travel to Lakeland University. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. in Plymouth, Wisconsin.
