SPECIAL EVENTS

Earth Day Clean Up Event

Saturday, April 23 from 9-11am

SEBA Park

Clean-up, Shredding and Junk!  Come join the Village of South Elgin in cleaning up our Village in celebration of Earth Day. Do you have a favorite area of South Elgin, or just want to help the Earth in its clean up celebration. Meet up at SEBA Park Shelter and head out to clean the parks of South Elgin. If you have groups of 10 or more, please contact Jday@southelgin.com to be placed at a spot to accommodate.  We will also have a shred event that day.  You can bring up to 4 paper boxes of shredding.  Junkluggers will be here until 10:30am.  The list of items they will be accepting will be available soon…watch the Village’s Facebook page.

PRESCHOOL

Preschool Registration Now Open

Registration is now open for the 22/23 school year.  We offer classes for 2’s, 3’s, 4’s and an evening class for 3-5 year olds.  For registration you are required to have a copy of the child’s birth certificate and a $40 non-refundable deposit.  Registration must be completed at Village Hall during normal business hours.  For more information, please visit www.southelgin.com/preschool.  For questions, e-mail kmckinney@southelgin.com.  

CAMPS

Teen Camp (entering 7th & 8th grade)

Hey, all young teens entering 7th and 8th grade want to have some fun this summer? Then join us at the South Elgin Parks & Recreation Teen Camp. We will have activities, games, crafts, STEM and go on some awesome field trips.  There will be philanthropic field trips on Tuesdays and pools and other trips on Thursdays.   Wednesdays will be a theme day with fun activities.  Make some awesome memories and great friends at this camp of 13 kids. No daily registration allowed—must register for the complete session. For dates and pricing visit www.southelgin.com/recreation under Camps.  Registration opens April 4 at 10am. 

ADULT

Investing with $25 a Month

Investing $25 a month really can make a difference!  Join me and explore various investment plans, what stocks, bonds and mutual funds are and how to invest in them, and some easy to implement strategies to get you started in the investment world.  There is no charge for this class but registration is required. This class will be held Monday, April 18 from 6:30-8:30pm at the Municipal Annex.  Section #53002-01.
