MEET THE BANDS
For five decades, Blue Öyster Cult has been thrilling fans of intelligent hard rock worldwide with powerful albums loaded with classic songs. Indeed, the Long Island, NY-based band is revered within the hard rock and heavy metal scene for its pioneering work. The band is often cited as a major influence by other acts such as Metallica, and BÖC was listed in VH1's countdown of the greatest hard rock bands of all time.
Upon the release of BÖC's self-titled debut album in 1972, the band was praised for its catchy yet heavy music and lyrics that could be provocative, terrifying, funny or ambiguous, often all in the same song. BÖC's canon includes three stone-cold classic songs that will waft through the cosmos long after the sun has burned out: the truly haunting "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" from 1976's “Agents of Fortune,” the pummeling "Godzilla" from 1977's “Spectres” and the hypnotically melodic "Burnin' for You" from1981's “Fire of Unknown Origin.”
The intense creative vision of BÖC's original core duo of vocalist/lead guitarist Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Eric Bloom are complemented by Richie Castellano on guitar and keyboards, and the longtime rhythm section of bass guitarist Danny Miranda and drummer Jules Radino. BÖC has always maintained a relentless touring schedule and an album of new material “The Symbol Remains” was released in October 2020 to rave reviews. blueoystercult.com
Blue Öyster Cult - Burnin' For You
Foghat celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2021, and their live performances show why they will be able to keep on rockin’ as long as they want to play. Foghat fans are everywhere and are all ages - from the young who play "Guitar Hero III" and know all the lyrics to “Slow Ride,” to the "Dazed and Confused" generation of 30-40 somethings and the ‘boomers’ who bought Foghat’s first vinyl or eight-track.
in 1971 when Lonesome Dave Peverett and Roger Earl left the British blues-rock band, Savoy Brown, Foghat has earned eight Gold records, one Platinum record and one Double-Platinum record. And they continue to release new music every few years. They have never stopped touring and recording, although there have been several ups and downs and changes over the years. They sadly lost Lonesome Dave Peverett in 2000 and Rod Price in 2005, but Roger Earl kept banging and kicking to keep Foghat’s musical legacy going.
The band’s lead vocalist/lead guitarist is Scott Holt, who played with Buddy Guy for over 10 years. Lead/slide guitarist Bryan Bassett played with Wild Cherry and Molly Hatchet. The band sadly lost bass player Craig Macgregor in 2018, but Rodney O'Quinn came to Foghat via the Pat Travers band to step in. And on drums, of course, is the man responsible for keeping Foghat going…founding member Roger Earl. foghat.com

RiverEdge is located right across the street from Metra’s Aurora Transportation Center. Drivers can find nearby paid parking in the Metra lot, with more public and private lots around the park and in downtown Aurora. New in 2022, look for new free parking across the river at the city’s Lot W/309 River Street. A ticket booth and entrance to the Park is located on the west side of Aurora’s new pedestrian bridge, which leads directly into RiverEdge Park on the east.
Note: There are no permanent seats set up for this concert. It is all general admission on a first come, first served basis. Guests are encouraged to bring and set up bag chairs on the concrete section. Bag chairs and blankets may be used on the grass. There will be a standing room only section in front of the stage.
Concessions include a diverse menu and bar with domestic and craft beers, wine, sodas, bottled water and more. Local food trucks also ring the back lawn. Outside food is welcome. No alcohol or other outside beverages are allowed, with the exception of two sealed bottles of unflavored water per person. Visit the Park’s Plan Your Visit page for more information, directions, parking options and outside food policies.
Events at RiverEdge Park take place rain or shine, unless conditions endanger the safety of artists and the public. For the latest weather updates, follow @RiverEdgeAurora on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, call the RiverEdge Park Weather Line, (630) 723-2480, or text REPARK to 888777.
To maintain a safe environment for all, this performance will take place outside in the Park’s open-air John C. Dunham pavilion, staged in compliance with state and CDC mandates at that time. Specific attendance protocols will be shared with ticket buyers later this spring.
RiverEdge Park debuted in 2013 and was renamed Thomas J. Weisner RiverEdge Park in 2016 in honor of late Aurora Mayor Thomas J. Weisner. RiverEdge is anchored by the contemporary John C. Dunham performance pavilion, with state-of-the-art acoustics and lighting set against a beautiful night sky. With a capacity of up to 6,000, RiverEdge combines live concert excitement with a warm community feel and gorgeous views of the Fox River.
RiverEdge Park is managed and programmed by the Aurora Civic Center Authority (ACCA), which also oversees Aurora’s historic Paramount Theatre, the newly renovated, 165-seat Copley Theater across the street from Paramount, and the Paramount School of the Arts in the John C.
