Happy Monday!
After our retreat back to winter, this week's projected warmup is welcomed with lighter coats and bigger smiles. (It doesn't hurt that the much-celebrated St. Patrick's Day is later this week, too.)
Inspire Celebration
Plans are coming together for April's Inspire Celebration. We are excited to celebrate the 2021 Batavia Citizen of the Year, Dan Hoefler, and the Batavia Community Band as our Spirit of Batavia honorees. Not only will we honor the band, they will entertain us, too!
We will also honor the recipients of our Ole Awards: Gia Bella Designs, Tuffy Tire & Auto Service, WindMill Grille & Pizzeria, Wilson Street Mercantile, Cabot Properties, and The Landings Senior Living. What are the Ole Awards? Check out this fantastic video about the history of the award by Chamber member Shumway studios.
Inspire Scholarships
Applications for the Batavia Chamber Inspire Scholarships will be accepted until March 31st! Spread the word to all the BHS Seniors that you know. Here is a link for the applications.

A national campaign, #WhyYouMatter, has taken root in the hallways of Rotolo Middle School thanks to Art Teacher Jenna McKnight. Before winter break, McKnight asked teachers and staff to participate in the project and it has taken off. Read the entire press release.
