The third quarter of 2021: Aurora (Kane County) experienced a 14.5% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Aurora in Kane County rose by $27,500 while total sales increased by 45.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were 503 homes sold, with a median sale price of $217,500 - a 14.5% increase over the $190,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 345 homes sold in Aurora in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Aurora for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,947, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
