The first half of 2021: Batavia (Kane County) experienced a 3.2% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Batavia in Kane County rose by $10,500 while total sales increased by 37.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 220 homes sold, with a median sale price of $335,000 - a 3.2% increase over the $324,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 160 homes sold in Batavia in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Batavia for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $7,944, approximately 2.4% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
