Home prices increased in St. Charles (Kane County) during the second quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2021 in St. Charles in Kane County rose by $48,000 while total sales increased by 63.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2021, there were 186 homes sold, with a median sale price of $340,500 - a 16.4% increase over the $292,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 114 homes sold in St. Charles in the second quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in St. Charles for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $7,291, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2021.
