City of Geneva Planning and Zoning Commission met Dec. 10

Here is the minutes provided by the commission:

Crossings At Geneva

Comments: We are writing in opposition to Horton building a multi-age community next to the Crossings At Geneva and their use of lot 6. We have lived at the Crossings since 2005. My wife and I moved here because it is zoned for seniors (55+). We looked forward to the quiet, privacy and safety the Crossings provides. Horton wants to negotiate the use of lot 6, which includes Stone Circle and our Courtyard. If they are allowed to do both lot 6 and build, it will destroy the quiet, privacy and safety of the Crossings. Younger people will move in, and they simply drive faster than seniors. I fear for the safety of my current neighbors and for any children that the new development might bring. As I write this, a pedestrian has been struck at the corner of Bricher and Rt 38. Drivers are too distracted to drive safely. The lots Horton wants to build on are zoned for seniors age 55+ and the buildings are to be similar to the current buildings. Therefore, we petition the Commission to deny approval of this proposal.

Respectfully,

Richard L. and Susan D. Ford
