Analysis: Hampshire pays $2.30 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Hampshire Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 69.7 percent of the $286,758 the Hampshire Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.30 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Hampshire contributed $200,000 to the fund, which saw a $3,146 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $86,757, or 30.3 percent, in 2018. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
