CITY OF GENEVA: Chamber Cancels 2020 Geneva Arts Fair

Cancel

City of Geneva issued the following announcement on May 13.

The community and visitors look forward to Geneva festivals year after year. Knowing that our first thought, during these uncertain times, is the health and safety of those who may attend a festival, the Geneva Chamber of Commerce and Geneva Arts Fair Coordinator, EM Events has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Geneva Art Fair due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was scheduled to be held July 25 and 26 this year.

“While this decision was difficult, we felt that it is for the safety of our Geneva Arts Fair visitors and participants. We know the Geneva Arts Fair is very popular and looked forward to, not only by the artists, but the public as well, therefore, we are coordinating with artists on an alternative option to display their work throughout Geneva in July,” said Paula Schmidt, President of Geneva Chamber of Commerce.

“We thank the community for their support and know the Geneva Chamber is working on creative ways to make summer in Geneva memorable,” said Laura Rush, Communications Manager of Geneva Chamber of Commerce.

Updates on all festivals may be found on the Chamber’s website.
