City of Elgin issued the following announcement on May 2.
Even though City Hall is physically closed to the public, staff remains available and committed to ensure you can get a building permit, submit plans, request building inspections, or ask any other questions related to planning, zoning, building and historic preservation.
Either call 311 or email permits@cityofelgin.org. This email inbox is monitored in real time during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) Please provide your telephone number and email address, and be as descriptive as possible with your request so we can respond as quickly as possible.
