City of Geneva City Council met March 2.

All items on the Omnibus Agenda require a simple majority vote unless otherwise indicated.

12. COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE ITEMS OF BUSINESS

a. Approve Resolution No. 2020-14 Authorizing Execution of a Farm Lease with Pitstick Farms for a Farm Lease at a Rate of $261 per Tillable Acre for the 2020 and 2021 Crop Seasons.

*b. Approve Ordinance No. 2020-08 Amending Title 6 (Police Regulations), Chapter 2 (Miscellaneous Offenses), Section 12 (Possession of Marijuana) and Section 13 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), of the Geneva City Code.

*c. Approve Resolution No. 2020-15 Authorizing the City Administrator to Purchase Twenty-Four Sets of Structural Firefighting “Turnout” Gear for the Fire Department from W.S. Darley at an Estimated Cost of $47,000.

*d. Approve Resolution No. 2020-16 Authorizing Execution of a Contract with Benchmark Construction at a Cost of $110,825.00 with the Allowance of City Administrator to Approve up to $11,082.50 in Change Orders for a Total Not to Exceed Amount of $121,907.50 for Sanitary Sewer Lining Project.

*e. Approve Resolution No. 2020-17 Authorizing Execution of a Contract with Frank Marshall Electric at a Cost of $28,700 with the Allowance of City Administrator to Approve up to $2,870.00 in Change Orders for a Total Not to Exceed Amount of $31,570.00 for Water Plant Variable Frequency Drive Installation for Reverse Osmosis Unit #1.

*f. Approve Resolution No. 2020-18 Authorizing Execution of a Market License Agreement Between the City of Geneva and Bensidoun USA Inc. for the 2020 and 2021 Market Seasons.

*g. Approve Resolution No. 2020-19 Authorizing Execution of an Extension of the Fisher Farms Special Service Area #16 Management Agreement with Real Manage, LLC for 2020, 2021, and 2022 at a Cost Not-to-Exceed $11,700.00 Per Year and Mutz Landscaping Inc. for 2020, 2021 and 2022 Landscape Maintenance Services at a Cost Not to Exceed $53,380.00.

a. Consider Approval of Ordinance No. 2020-09 Amending Title 11 (Zoning), Chapter 2 Section 11-2-2 (Definitions of Words and Terms); Chapter 3, Section 11-3-3 (Accessory Buildings and Uses); and Chapter 15, Section 11-15-19 (Zoning Illustrations Accessory Structures) of the Geneva City Code.

b. Consider Approval of Resolution No. 2020-20 Approving a Preliminary/Final Plat of Subdivision for the First Re-subdivision of Woodland – Steve Bertheau

c. Consider Approval of Resolution No. 2020-21 Authorizing Execution of a Proposal from Huddleston McBride Land Drainage Services for Prairie Green Preserve Drain Tile Repairs at a Cost Not to Exceed $7,012.00.
