City of Geneva issued the following announcement on March 3.
Geneva residents can clean out their attics, basements and closets in preparation for the citywide garage sale scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 24-25.
The Geneva Citywide ABC Garage Sale is sponsored by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce.
Participants will have their address and key items listed on a map to be distributed to key locations in town and posted on the Chamber’s website. Sellers also will receive a garage sale sign to post near their home.
Geneva Chamber will do all the advertising, marketing, printing and distributing of materials. Sellers will keep all the profits.
In order to participate in the Citywide Garage Sale and have a Geneva location listed on the printed and online map, please register online by Wednesday, April 15 for $25.
Sellers may also print out a registration form or pick one up at the Chamber’s office if they wish to pay by cash/check (made payable to the Geneva Chamber of Commerce). The form along with payment also can be mailed to the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, 8 S. Third St., Geneva, IL 60134.
After April 15, the cost to register is $30.
