19. Discussion: Reconsider Whether to Allow Recreational Cannabis Dispensaries and Where
The Commissioners shared their stance on whether or not to approve recreational cannabis dispensaries in Batavia. The informal tally was ten ayes and four nays. The Committee asked staff to work with legal counsel to formulate a question on whether or not to allow recreational cannabis dispensaries in Batavia to be placed on the November ballot. The consensus of the Committee was in favor of making this a binding referendum.
