Illinois State House District 65 issued the following announcement on Jan. 3
As a member on the bipartisan bicameral property tax task force, I stand ready to work with my Democrat colleagues on property tax relief… but ideas from both sides must be heard, voted on and incorporated. The final report is not a product of bipartisanship, and was not properly considered by the full 88 member task force.
Unless resolved, the dispute will complicate—and potentially kill—any serious effort to reduce property taxes in Illinois.
