The NIU administration, both the Board of Trustees and President Freeman's leadership team, have been working diligently across campus and the community with students, faculty and support personnel to build a sustainable institution focused on positive outcomes for the long term success of the University and those it serves.
It takes time to turn a massive ship like NIU, but so many positives continue to accumulate. The article below highlights the continued leadership dedication to college affordability and keeping NIU a transformational institution for so many families like mine. I pushed hard this spring for expanding MAP Grants and AIM High to help keep our Illinois students taking advantage of our high performing programs.
