City of Elgin issued the following announcement on June 15.
Walk with the Mayor this summer. Meet the Mayor and city staff, ask questions, explore a local neighborhood and get some exercise! Walks take place on various Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and last approximately 45 minutes. The June 19 walk through the Gifford Park Neighborhood starts at Channing Square, located at 111 N. Channing St, where the East Side Neighborhood Gardens have developed this year. The full walk schedule is available at cityofelgin.org/walks.
