City of Elgin issued the following announcement on May 12.
To kick off National Public Works Week, the City of Elgin is hosting its annual Public Works Open House on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the public services building located at 1900 Holmes Road. The free, family-friendly event offers facility tours, touch-a-truck, equipment rides and demos, free food and more.
