Report: Central spent $11,957 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Central Community Unit School District 301 is down 6.2 percent from five years ago, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Kane County school district spent $12,744 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,957 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 3541 to 4175.

Central's spending in 2017-18 was 10.3 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
