City of Elgin issued the following announcement on Jan. 14.
The 8th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Food Drive is underway and food items are being collected at various locations through January 20. Help us reach this year’s goal to collect 30,000 pounds of food to be distributed to local pantries next Monday, January 21, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
