City of Elgin issued the following announcement on Nov. 30.
All are invited to the City of Elgin’s annual tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, where Mayor Kaptain, members of City Council and Santa will turn on the holiday tree lights.
**Due to the weather, the Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony will take place in the lobby of the Hemmens Cultural Center, 45 Symphony Way, at 6pm. We hope to see you all there!*
