City of Elgin issued the following announcement on Nov. 30.
It's not uncommon for tree branches to come down with the wet heavy snow, like we had earlier this week. Waste Management does collect branch and brush bundles free of charge/stickers, as long as they adhere to the guidelines:
-Must be tied into bundles no longer than 5 feet
-Branches in the bundles must be less than 2 inches in diameter
-Bundles must weigh less than 45 pounds each
