City of Batavia issued the following announcement on July 25.
Lazarus House is hosting their first annual golf outing on September 14, 2018 at Prairie Landing Golf club in West Chicago. Enjoy a day of golf at the Lazarus House Open followed by appetizers, awards and raffle winners. The cost is $175 per golfer. Sponsorship opportunities include prize, hole and Eagle ranging from $500 to $1000. Donations are now being accepted for sports tickets, entertainment tickets, restaurant gift certificates, and golf foursomes. All proceeds will benefit Lazarus House operating funds. Lazarus House is a not-for-profit Emergency Shelter, Center for Transitional Living, and Outreach Program. They provide hospitality, food, safe shelter, and support to men, women, and children who are homeless or in crisis from Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and western rural Kane County. Lazarus House offers everyone who comes to their doors the opportunity for hope and a future with the goal of independent living.
