CITY OF ST. CHARLES: First Collections by New Refuse & Recycling Contractor July 2 & 3
City of St. Charles issued the following announcement on July 2.
Lakeshore Recycling Systems is Now Serving City of St. Charles Residents
The first collection dates for refuse and recycling by the City's new contractor, Lakeshore Shore Recycling Systems, is July 2 on the east side of the river and July 3 on the west side. Lakeshore will provide the same services residents currently receive plus some added new ones—and at a significantly lower cost.
Everyone will receive recycling carts from Lakeshore, along with refuse carts if you rent them, by June 30. To request a different size cart, please contact Lakeshore Recycling at 630.581.8650 or StCharles@LRSrecycles.com.
If you use stickers and half-size bags and have extras left over from Advanced Disposal, Lakeshore will accept Advanced Disposal stickers and yellow bags through July 31.
Leave your old carts from Advanced Disposal on the curb for Advanced to collect and contact them at 630.587.8282 to let them know your carts have not been collected yet. If Advanced doesn't collect their carts by Thursday, July 5, the City will send out a crew from Public Works to collect them. This may take a couple of days to complete.
