3. Office of Community Reinvestment - Workforce Development Division
A. OCR WIOA Performance Reports
Staff Renken presented information included in the agenda packet. She reviewed the increases and percentages noting they are well positioned to achieve their goals given the progress so far.
B. OCR Financials
The monthly financial reports were included in the agenda packet. Dir. Berber reviewed the various grants and awards from 2016-2017 and overall budget. He answered questions regarding the ratios for unemployment vs. job openings for Kane County. Brief discussion followed. Berger presented the following resolution:
C. Resolution: Authorizing Agreements for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and Trade Adjustment Act Programs for Program Year 2018
This authorizes agreements, certifications, reports and other documents required by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity in order to receive Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and Trade Adjustment Act funds awarded for Program Year 2018. It further authorizes agreements with sub recipient organizations to undertake the activities/services for Program Year 2018.

5. Jobs Committee Priorities
A change in the venue presentation followed.
A. Wedding Venues in Kane County – George Bozonelos, Manager of Gaslite Manor Banquets (Priorities 4 and 6)
Referencing a presentation not included in the agenda packet, Mr. Bozonelos provided background on his banquet facility, noting it is one of the largest in the county that is family owned and operated. They currently have three locations and provide vendors for various events. Mr. Bozonelos emphasized the importance of knowing today's target market on social media. About 75% of their advertising is through Facebook. (Davoust arrived @ 10:39am) Co-Chair Gillam provided information on the Haight, the original venue scheduled to do a presentation. She covered highlights of the venue and their vendors.
6. Public Comment
Workforce Training Manager Gary Smith, from Waubonsee Community College, discussed the closing of their department. The projects that were in place will continue until finished and other activities will be dispersed amongst the college.
