City of St. Charles issued the following announcement on June 19.
St. Charles Police Sergeant Dan Kuttner graduated from the School of Police Staff and Command at Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety in Evanston, Ill on May 11.
The School of Police Staff and Command provides upper-level college instruction in a total of 27 core blocks of instruction. Sgt. Kuttner completed courses in areas such as Organizational Behavior, Strategic Planning and Management, Principles and Practices of Leadership, Human Resource Management and Workplace Relations.
“We are very proud of Sgt. Kuttner for completing this rigorous program through Northwestern University,” said St. Charles Police Chief James Keegan. “We encourage opportunities for continuing education for our officers and appreciate the application of the latest training to constantly help improve our department.”
The Center for Public Safety was established at Northwestern University in 1936 with the goal of expanding university-based education and training for the Law Enforcement Community. Since 1983, the Center has graduated 14,000 students.
