City of St. Charles issued the following announcement on June 14.

A New Waste & Recycling Vendor Begins July 1, 2018

New Carts: Coming Week of June 18

Starting the week of June 18, Lakeshore, will begin delivering new carts (toters) to residents.

Note: Please continue to use your Advanced carts/totes through the last garbage collection in June.

If you would like to change your existing cart size or begin using carts (vs. stickers), please contact Lakeshore Recycling at 630.581.8650 or StCharles@LRSrecycles.com.

Old Cart/Toter Collection

Advanced Disposal will collect your old carts at a future date to be announced soon. Check the City website for updated information.

Key Dates:

June 18 – June 23: Residents will see new 65G recycling carts delivered to their homes.

July 2/3: Lakeshore begins collections on July 2 (east side of the river) and July 3 (west side of the river)

now – July 31: Residents will be allowed to use Advanced Disposal stickers and half refuse bags they may have accumulated.

July 1 – August 30: Residents will be allowed to switch cart sizes at no charge

Your collection day will not change. The last Advanced Disposal pick up is June 25 for the east side of the river and June 26 for the west side of the river.

Lakeshore will provide the same services you currently receive plus some added new ones, and at lower a cost.
