4. Finance/Budget
The monthly financial reports were included in the agenda packet. Finance staff Waggoner reported there were no FY18 budget concerns to report at this time.
5. Executive Director
A. Flash Report
Exec. Dir. Jeffers shared highlights from the monthly Flash Report included in the agenda packet. In the 2018 County Health Rankings, Kane County placed 7th out of 102 counties in Illinois, up from 12th the prior year. She promoted National Public Health Week on April 2-8 and National Infant Immunization week on April 21-28. (Allan arrives @ 9:07 a.m.)
B. Community Health Improvement Plan Income and Education Presentation by Theresa Heaton, Director of Health Promotion
Referencing a presentation included in the agenda packet. Dir. Heaton discussed the Community Health Priority addressing Income and Education. She reviewed education statistics for county residents 25 years and older. Heaton discussed graphs showing data on residents living below poverty level by age group. Action teams have been formed to address the county's three health priorities. One of the goals of the Income and Education Action Team is to reduce the poverty baseline by 5%. (Starrett arrives @ 9:17 a.m.) Heaton explained the Socio Needs Index and how health has been linked to income and education. Referencing a document from the Kane Health Counts Resource Library, she provided an overview of the 2018 Income & Education Environmental Scan. Data from the scan was used to comprise the seven priorities for an action plan. She asked for the committee's input on how they could help accomplish the top two goals of the value of graduating from high school and engaging students in planning for post-high school. C. Resolution: Authorizing Approval for the Health Department Vehicle Replacement
This authorizes the Kane County Health Department to purchase a 2018 Ford F150 pickup truck at cost not to exceed $30,000.

6. Animal Control
Monthly reports were included in the agenda packet. Admin. Youngsteadt reported revenue has continued to exceed their expenses. The vaccine clinic dates have been released for 2018; they will have six clinics this year. He presented the following resolution:
A. Resolution: Authorizing Personnel Replacement Hiring, Kane County Animal Control Warden
This authorizes the Kane County Animal Control Department to hire a replacement to fill the Animal Control Warden Position within the department.
