Judson University will host former U.S. Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean on Thursday, April 19, 2018, during its seventh World Leaders Forum, according to a recent announcement from the university.
The forum is an annual event that supports students and the local community through both enriching learning opportunities and fundraising. The forum consists of a VIP reception and keynote address, which will take place at the Hilton Chicago Hotel, and a community event that will take place at Judson University’s Elgin campus.
"In a world that is becoming increasingly politically divided, Judson University is honored to host a conversation highlighting the importance of civility in political discourse,” Judson University President Dr. Gene Crume said, according to the event announcement. “We believe in presenting our campus and our community with a balanced approach to understanding divergent ideologies by fostering respectful dialogue."
Lisa Chavarria from NBC Chicago will host the community event with Gingrich and Dean, while AM 560 host Dan Proft will moderate the VIP event. Those interested in attending, donating or sponsoring the forum can now sign up to do so via the Judson University website.
Tickets for the community event are $100 for premium seating and $65 for general seating. VIP event tickets are $2,000.
