The calls in Aurora included 210 fires - 112 structure fires, 56 vehicle fires and 37 other fires. The fire department also responded to five calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $6,029,511 in fire loss - or about $28,712 per fire.
The department also received one false call, including 72 malicious calls and 1 other false calls.
The calls resulted in two civilian fire-related injuries. Additionally, two fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents.
The Aurora Fire, which has 191 active employees and 169 retired or inactive employees, was $9,895,477 in debt as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $47,121 for every fire in 2016.
