BLOCK Gail Borden Public Library met Sept. 13.

2. Action: Minutes August 9, 2016 Regular Board Meeting Minutes August 9, 2016 Closed Executive Session Minutes 

3. Action: Treasurer's Report and Payment of Bills Payment of bills for September 13, 2016 including the list of bills to be paid between September 13, 2016 and October 11, 2016 and all bills over $10,000.

6. Presentation: Blue Point Alert Solutions-Security System 

7. Action: 2016-2017 Working Budget Board adopted the Tentative Working Budget in July and this one is the final. The total expenditures have not changed.

8. Action: Ordinance 2016-9-1: Budget & Appropriation The library administration has been designated by the Board of Trustees to prepare in tentative form a budget and appropriation ordinance for the Gail Borden Public Library District, Kane and Cook Counties, Illinois and in accordance with such designation have prepared such tentative budget and appropriation ordinance and made the ordinance conveniently available to public inspection for at least thirty (30) days prior to final action. A public hearing is scheduled prior to the September 13, 2016 Board of Trustees meeting. Notice of the hearing was given at least thirty (30) days prior to the meeting by publication in the Daily Herald. 

9. Action: Resolution 2016-9-A Determines the amount of money estimated to be necessary to be raised by taxation for the 2016-2017 fiscal year to support the Operating Budget. The Board's adoption of the aggregate levy will take place at the October or November meeting. 

10. Report: Employee Health & Dental Insurance 

11. Action: Personnel Policy Change - Bereavement Leave The Illinois Child Bereavement Leave Act has been passed into law and is effective immediately. Our policy requires revision.

13. Action: November Board Meeting Date Change The Board needs to decide if they wish to change the meeting date in November as it falls on a national election day.
