Batavia Fire and Police Board to consider whether to appoint temporary fire lieutenant

The Batavia Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will discuss whether to appoint a temporary full-time fire lieutenant at its next meeting, 5 p.m. Thursday at the Batavia Police Department, 100 N. Island Ave.

The board includes three members who are appointed by the mayor for voluntary three-year terms. The board appoints all of the city’s fire and police officers.
