At Tuesday's City Council meeting, Mayor Richard C. Irvin honored Girl Scout Troop 4340, hosted by O'Donnell Elementary School in East Aurora School District 131, for National Girl Scout Day!

An active troop for more than 20 years, Troop 4340 has a strong focus on community service. They have recently partnered with Knots of Love for Bela Rose and donated about 50 knotted fleece blankets to the Rush Copley NICU. They have also participated in Feed My Starving Children and Operation Christmas Child!

The Troop has a great diversity of young women who range from kindergarten through high school!

Join us in commending Troop 4340 and Girl Scouts across the country for National Girl Scout Day!
