There was one gas station in cities across Kane County selling E15 gas at the lowest price of $3.59 per gallon in the week ending Mar. 21, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The county registered an average of $3.97 per gallon for E15 gas.
Among 160 gas stations in cities within Kane County, eight offered E15 gas.
Across Illinois, the average reported price for a gallon of E15 gas rose to $3.88, compared to the week before.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
