Waste collection in Elgin delayed one day for Labor Day observance

Elgin residents are being informed that garbage, recycling, and organics collection will be delayed by one day during the week of September 1 due to Labor Day. According to city officials, there will be no collection on Monday, September 1. Collection services will resume on Tuesday and continue one day later than usual for the remainder of the week. Regular collection schedules are expected to return the following week.
