National Coalition of 100 Black Women launches Aurora metropolitan chapter

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. has announced the establishment of its newest chapter in Aurora, Illinois. This addition brings the total number of chapters to 65 across the country.

Forty-one charter members are part of the new Aurora, Illinois Metropolitan Chapter. The organization focuses on advocating for Black women and girls by supporting leadership opportunities and working toward gender equity in areas such as health, education, and economic empowerment.

Michele Clark, currently serving as interim Chief of Human Resources, has been named the Chapter Chartering President. Katrina Boatright, who manages Senior and Disability Services, will serve as the chapter's first Vice President.

The organization expressed pride in both leaders' commitment to advancing community initiatives. "We are immensely proud and thankful to have these two remarkable women dedicated to enhancing our community," a statement from the group said.
