State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) has issued a statement following the passage of SB 2111, known as the Mass Transit bill, during the veto session in Springfield. Ugaste is urging Governor J.B. Pritzker to reject the legislation.

“I am calling on Governor Pritzker to veto this bill that includes excessive spending on mass transit and an unnecessary $1 billion toll hike on suburban drivers,” Ugaste said.

Ugaste, a Republican, has served in the Illinois State House since 2019, representing the 65th District after succeeding Steven Andersson.
