The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) will open its latest electric vehicle rebate application cycle starting tomorrow. The program offers rebates of up to $2,000 for the purchase of a new or used electric vehicle. Low-income residents may qualify for an additional $2,000 rebate, totaling $4,000. Those purchasing an electric motorcycle can receive a rebate of $1,500.

Applicants are required to submit their applications during the open rebate cycle and within 180 days of purchasing their vehicle. Application forms and instructions are available on the IEPA’s official website. Rebates are provided as long as there are sufficient funds in the Electric Vehicle Rebate fund.
