City of St. Charles issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.
We need your help to help keep Langum Woods’ historic oaks thriving! Over the years invasive species have crept in and shaded out the sunlight that the oaks and wildflowers need. We’ll be going after the invaders with loppers and bow saws and doing a little trail maintenance too. Langum Woods is located just south of the sled hill at Langum Park. Meet in the parking area on Devereaux Way. Volunteers should bring work gloves and dress for the weather! The NRC will provide tools needed.
