Report: Batavia spent $13,441 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Batavia School District 101 is up 12.5 percent from five years ago, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Kane County school district spent $11,944 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,441 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 6213 to 5828.

Batavia's spending in 2017-18 was 0.8 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
