Report: West Aurora spent $12,316 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at West Aurora School District 129 is up 7.9 percent from five years ago, according to a Kane County Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Kane County school district spent $11,418 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,316 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 12500 to 12316.

West Aurora's spending in 2017-18 was 7.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
