City of St. Charles issued the following announcement on Jan. 9.
On Jan. 8, 2019 at approx. 8:10 a.m., a child was waiting for her bus at the corner of N. 6th Ave. and Cedar Ave. in St Charles. A male white subject in his 50s walked up to the child and offered her a one dollar bill. The male subject did not ask for anything from the child and did not attempt to touch her. After the child refused to take the dollar, the male subject placed the dollar on the ground in front of the child and walked away without further incident.
The male subject was last seen wearing an orange winter hat, a dark colored coat and blue jeans.
