City of Geneva issued the following announcement on Nov. 1.
Kane County will be hosting two different recycling events for people to dispose of their Halloween pumpkins, unwanted electronics, confidential documents and more in November.
Pumpkin Composting
Geneva residents have another option to get rid of their pumpkins besides the trash. Pumpkins can be dropped off for composting from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 3 at Pushing the Envelope Farm, 1700 Averill Road, Geneva.
Only pumpkins can be recycled. Any decorations such as candles, yarn hair, stickers, googly eyes and plastic ears will not be accepted.

County Recycling Event
Kane County will be conducting its final monthly recycling event of the year from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Kane County Circuit Clerk's Office, 540 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.
People will have the opportunity to recycle electronics, books, and liquid latex paint; and shred documents. Fees apply for electronics and paint submissions.
