Graduates earn 1,764 degrees, certificates from Aurora University

About 29.2 percent of the 1,764 degrees and certificates handed out by the Aurora University in 2016-17 were to students in Public Administration and Social Service Professions programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Aurora conferred 379 master's degrees and 122 bachelor's degrees in Public Administration and Social Service Professions programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in Social Work. Data shows the school gave out 379 master's degrees in Social Work, followed by 210 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse and 122 bachelor's degrees in Social Work.

The university enrolled 5,643 students for 2016-17, including 3,796 in undergraduate programs and 1,847 in graduate programs.
