The Village of Pingree Grove announced on Apr. 14 that it will host a free open house tour at its newest Water Treatment Plant #2, located at Daniel Boulevard and Reinking Road, as part of Public Services Week. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and no reservation is required.

The open house aims to give residents an opportunity to learn about the process of treating and delivering drinking water in their community.

During the event, attendees can see water treatment operations up close and meet with public works professionals who are responsible for maintaining safe and reliable drinking water every day. The village said the tour offers a behind-the-scenes look at how drinking water gets from its source to residents’ sinks.

Organizers encourage all interested community members to attend in order to better understand the systems that provide clean water and the work involved in keeping it safe.

This event is part of ongoing efforts by Pingree Grove’s public services staff to promote transparency and engagement with local infrastructure projects.
