The Village of Montgomery announced on Apr. 1 that residents and businesses can support the Beautification Committee this summer by sponsoring personalized signs to be displayed along the Mill Street Bridge.

The program allows community members to honor loved ones, families, or local businesses while contributing to beautification efforts. Each donation includes a custom-printed sign measuring 4 inches by 22 inches, which will be placed alongside traditional floral planters on the bridge.

Applications for the program are due on or before May 1, 2026. The application form is available online at https://www.montgomeryil.org/DocumentCenter/View/6049/2025-2026-Bridge-Sign-program-flyer?bidId=.

A new sign sponsorship costs $45, while renewals of previously sponsored signs are available for $35. The renewal option does not allow changes or edits to existing signs but provides an opportunity for continued support with a $10 discount.

Signs may feature names or short messages only; addresses, phone numbers, and political advertisements are not permitted. For more information about the program, interested individuals can contact the Public Works Department at 331-212-9044 or email rmason@montgomeryil.org.

The initiative reflects ongoing efforts in Montgomery to engage residents in community improvement projects and enhance public spaces through collaborative fundraising.
