The Village of Montgomery will mark Hispanic Heritage Month with a free community concert and family activities at Montgomery Park on Thursday, September 18. The event begins when the park opens to the public at 5:30 p.m., with live music scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. and continue for two hours.

Symple Rock Band, known for performing in both Spanish and English, will headline the evening. The group is recognized for its energetic shows that aim to connect audiences from different backgrounds.

Alongside the concert, attendees can participate in Custard with a Cop, an initiative where residents meet members of the Montgomery Police Department while enjoying complimentary frozen custard provided by Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers of Montgomery. Custard will be available while supplies last.

“Symple played at Montgomery Fest last year and were awesome. We thought this event was a great way to honor the vibrant traditions of Hispanic Heritage Month while having a free event opportunity for our residents,” said Village President Matt Brolley. “We look forward to a great evening of music and fun in Montgomery.”

Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and arrive early to secure seating. Outside food and beverages are permitted, and additional options from local vendors such as Grumpy Gaucho food truck will be available onsite.
