McKee Street and Van Nortwick Avenue have reopened following a period of construction in Batavia. The project included a full reconstruction of both roads, installation of new watermains, and utility upgrades along the area near the Pulte development. Sidewalks were added on both sides of Van Nortwick Avenue, with more sidewalks planned for McKee Street to improve walkability and connectivity.

Although the streets are now open to traffic, occasional lane closures may still occur as construction continues at the Pulte site. Flaggers will be present to manage these temporary disruptions.

City officials expressed appreciation for residents’ patience during the improvements, which were completed before the start of the school year.
