Illinois SB72 passed the state House on May 21.

The bill, as it was introduced in the Senate by Sen. John J. Cullerton (D-6) on Jan. 23, will amend the Election Code, according to the General Assembly website.

The measure passed the Senate on March 28. Assuming the Senate concurs with the House, the measure will be sent to the governor to decide if it should be signed into law.
