On Saturday, March 7, Caroline Croft, a former standout from South Elgin High School, helped lead the Hardin–Simmons Cowgirls to a 56-35 victory over the Whitman Blues in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The matchup, which tipped off at 8 p.m. in the Mabee Complex, marked the Cowgirls’ first tournament meeting against Whitman.
The Hardin–Simmons Cowgirls are scheduled for their next game on Friday, March 13, at 6:30 p.m. at John A. Paulson Center.
